This recognition is a proud acknowledgment of his journey of perseverance, pioneering spirit, and contributions to business operations and the development of Vietnam’s business community.
With many years of experience in the seafood industry, Do Ngoc Tai has continuously worked to strengthen corporate management, improve operational performance, and shape the company’s development strategy. Under his leadership, Tai Kim Anh Seafood Processing Joint Stock Company has gradually established its brand, expanded its export markets, prioritized product quality, and continuously enhanced its ability to meet stringent international standards. These efforts have not only strengthened the company’s reputation but also contributed to the broader development of Vietnam’s seafood processing and export industry.
Recognizing the achievements of a business leader
Do Ngoc Tai’s dedication, sense of responsibility, and contributions to business and production activities have been recognized through numerous titles, certificates of merit, and commendations awarded by central and local authorities and organizations.
Notably, in 2022, he was named an “Outstanding Vietnamese Entrepreneur 2022” by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), in recognition of his outstanding achievements in corporate leadership and management and his contributions to the country’s socioeconomic development.
In addition to this prestigious title, he has received various certificates of merit and commendations recognizing his contributions to COVID-19 prevention and control in 2021, support for the Fund for the Poor and social welfare programs during 2021–2025, and, notably, his outstanding achievements in production and export activities in 2024, for which he was commended by the Minister of Industry and Trade.
Developing the business alongside a commitment to the community
For Do Ngoc Tai, a company’s success is measured not only by its production scale, revenue, or export markets, but also by the tangible value it creates for employees and the wider community.
In managing Tai Kim Anh Seafood Processing Joint Stock Company, he has consistently prioritized stable production, job creation, income security, and the gradual improvement of employee benefits and working conditions. The company’s growth therefore generates not only economic value but also helps improve the livelihoods of many families and contributes to local development.
“How can we provide employees with a better working environment, improve their quality of life, and ensure that no one is left behind?” This is one of the questions that has continually guided his approach to business management.
In his view, employees are not merely the workforce directly responsible for producing goods; they are also a fundamental pillar of the company’s long-term development. Building a better working environment, maintaining stable employment, and caring for employees’ well-being have therefore remained meaningful priorities throughout the company’s growth.
His sense of responsibility is also reflected in charitable activities, support for disadvantaged people, participation in social welfare programs, and collaboration with local communities on initiatives that benefit society. These contributions reflect his consistent belief that business development must go hand in hand with sharing, responsibility, and social progress.
A pioneering spirit and the ambition to advance Vietnam’s seafood industry
Drawing on years of experience in corporate management and operations, Do Ngoc Tai continues to pursue the goals of strengthening competitiveness, consolidating brand reputation, and expanding opportunities to bring Vietnamese seafood products to consumers worldwide. This is not merely the development strategy of his own company, but also an ambition to contribute to the growth of Vietnam’s seafood industry as a whole.
In 2025, with the confidence and support of its members, he was elected Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP). This marked an important milestone, reflecting the business community’s trust in his leadership, practical experience, and contributions to seafood processing and exports.
In his new role, his experience in production, business operations, and exports provides further opportunities to represent industry perspectives, share practical insights, and support businesses as they navigate the challenges and increasingly demanding requirements of international markets. Through these efforts, he aims to help Vietnam’s seafood industry become more professional, increase product value, and strengthen its position in global supply chains.
For him, past achievements are not a stopping point, but rather a source of motivation to continue striving and moving forward. The principle of “Never resting on past achievements” reminds him to keep learning, rethink management practices, and explore appropriate development strategies for the company. In his view, the true value of success lies not only in the titles and awards received, but also in the ability to create sustainable value for the business, its employees, and the country.
Continuing the journey toward sustainable value creation
From his efforts to build Tai Kim Anh Seafood Processing Joint Stock Company into an increasingly strong and sustainable business to his contributions to social initiatives and the trust he has earned from the business community, Do Ngoc Tai’s journey reflects a strong sense of responsibility, determination to progress, and a deep commitment to making a contribution.
The titles, certificates of merit, and recognition he has received over the years are proud milestones. Yet what matters more in the long term is the value created through practical achievements: a company that continually improves its quality and reputation, stable employment opportunities for workers, meaningful support for the community, and tangible contributions to Vietnam’s seafood industry.
With his experience, commitment to continuous improvement, and long-term vision, Do Ngoc Tai is expected to continue leading Tai Kim Anh Seafood Processing Joint Stock Company toward stronger growth, a more prominent position in international seafood supply chains, and greater opportunities for Vietnamese seafood products to reach promising markets.
The road ahead will undoubtedly bring further challenges. However, with the determination of a business leader, the support of his workforce, and a strong desire to contribute to his community and country, Do Ngoc Tai remains committed to pursuing business growth alongside broader community interests.
Ultimately, an entrepreneur’s success is defined not only by what has been achieved, but also by the lasting positive impact left on employees, society, and the country’s sustainable development.
(vasep.com.vn) Markets are changing faster, buyer requirements are becoming more demanding, and trade barriers are growing increasingly complex. In this environment, seafood businesses need more than an understanding of current market conditions. They need a longer-term perspective to answer a critical question: Where will growth opportunities come from in 2027–2029, and what should businesses do now to prepare? This is one of the key reasons why VASEP is organizing Vietnam Seafood Summit 2026.
(vasep.com.vn) In the first eight months of 2026, Vietnam’s pangasius exports to the Middle East reached US$113 million, up 7% year on year from the same period in 2025. Growth has become more pronounced in recent months. In August alone, exports to the region totaled US$20 million, an increase of 24%. This indicates that demand for Vietnamese pangasius in the Middle East is gradually recovering after a slowdown in March, although the pace of recovery varies across markets.
(vasep.com.vn) China’s shrimp imports continued to grow strongly in 2026, while Vietnam’s shrimp exports to the market also recorded notable growth. However, behind these positive figures lie two distinct trends: Chinese consumption is growing more slowly than imports, and lobster accounts for a substantial share of Vietnam’s shrimp exports to China, making its product mix significantly different from those of Ecuador and India. Exporters therefore need to assess each segment carefully to understand the opportunities and risks.
(vasep.com.vn) Changing markets, shifting buyer demand, and increasingly complex trade barriers are raising a key question for Vietnam’s seafood industry: Where will the new growth opportunities lie in 2027–2029?
(seafood.vasep.com.vn) As of the end of August 2026, Vietnam’s tilapia exports to the United States reached $21 million, representing a steep 48% year-over-year decline and accounting for 23% of the country's total tilapia export turnover. Frozen fillets accounted for 78% with the remainder consisting of whole frozen tilapia and frozen cuts.
(seafood.vasep.com.vn) After a volatile first half of the year, Vietnam’s pangasius exports to Brazil registered robust growth in July and August 2026. In August alone, export turnover reached $19 million, surging 73% compared to the same period in 2025. Cumulatively for the first eight months, total export value reached $124 million, reflecting an 8% year-over-year increase.
(seafood.vasep.com.vn) Besides modifying their boats, many fishermen in Dak Lak province are making efforts to venture out to sea to harvest seafood during the rough sea season.
(seafood.vasep.com.vn) At the Responsible Seafood Summit and TCRS Shrimp Summit 2026, organized by the GSA (Global Seafood Alliance) in Bangkok, Thailand, the conversation about the future of the shrimp industry began with one of its most important foundations: seedstock quality.
(seafood.vasep.com.vn) In the first eight months of 2026, Vietnam’s tuna exports to Lithuania surpassed $14 million, up 8% year on year. While the increase remains modest, it is notable given the continued pressure on Vietnamese tuna exports to the EU as a whole. More importantly, export turnover to Lithuania has shown a clearer recovery in recent months, making the market a destination worth monitoring for Vietnamese businesses in Europe.
(seafood.vasep.com.vn) Vietnam’s squid and octopus exports exceeded $527 million in the first eight months of 2026, marking a 15% year-on-year increase. This growth is particularly notable given the strong baseline established in 2025, when export turnover for the same period reached $458 million, a 13% rise from 2024.
