International Seafood Hosted Buyer Program at Vietfish 2026: Connecting Global Buyers with Vietnam's Value-Added Seafood Supply Hub

News 17:35 16/07/2026
(seafood.vasep.com.vn) As part of Vietfish 2026, the International Seafood Hosted Buyer Program has been designed as a dedicated B2B matchmaking initiative for selected international buyers. The program provides opportunities to meet directly with Vietnamese seafood companies, gain market insights, and experience Vietnam's seafood supply chain firsthand.

A key highlight of this year's exhibition, the Hosted Buyer Program is tailored for international buyers seeking high-quality, reliable seafood suppliers capable of meeting the increasingly demanding requirements of global markets.

The program is built around the principle of matching the right buyers with the right products and the right suppliers. Through pre-arranged one-on-one B2B meetings based on buyers' sourcing interests, participants will have the opportunity to discuss production capabilities, product portfolios, quality standards, certifications, traceability systems, logistics solutions, and long-term partnership opportunities directly with Vietnamese seafood enterprises.

One of the program's featured events is the seminar "Vietnam Seafood Outlook 2026–2027: A Strategic Sourcing Hub," scheduled for 19 August. The seminar will provide international buyers with valuable insights into Vietnam's seafood supply capacity, price trends, and market positioning, alongside in-depth analyses of the pangasius and shrimp sectors and key compliance issues. Topics including IUU regulations, the U.S. Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA), traceability, ESG practices, and certification trends will help importers better understand Vietnam's evolving seafood industry and support their sourcing strategies for 2026–2027.

In addition to the formal business sessions, the Hosted Buyer Program features guided tours of the Vietfish exhibition with industry experts, networking opportunities at the B2B Lounge, exhibition networking events, and social gatherings designed to provide buyers with a deeper understanding of Vietnam's seafood business ecosystem. Participants will also have the opportunity to discover new product lines, value-added seafood products, retail-ready solutions, foodservice offerings, private-label products, and products tailored for key export markets including the EU, the United States, Japan, China, South Korea, and other Asian markets.

To further enhance the experience, the program offers optional sourcing tours to the Mekong Delta. Buyers can visit pangasius and shrimp farms, observe farming operations, meet industry experts, tour processing facilities, and explore production areas. These visits provide firsthand insights into Vietnam's aquaculture practices, processing capabilities, quality management systems, and commitment to sustainable seafood production.

More than simply a trade promotion activity within Vietfish 2026, the Hosted Buyer Program serves as a strategic platform connecting Vietnamese seafood exporters with international sourcing networks. Through this initiative, Vietfish 2026 aims to further strengthen Vietnam's reputation as a reliable, competitive, flexible, and increasingly value-added global seafood sourcing hub.
